What Causes Severe Diarrhea?

Both my husband and I have been having non stop diarrhea for about a month now. Taking Immodium like candy...barely slows it down. No real pain. Just some discomfort. No blood. Did we pick up something somewhere? We just moved to Texas in June and don t have a family doctor yet.

Diarrhea since month is not normal

Cause for it has to be searched for...

Investigation needed with stool culture and USG examination...

If culture positive for parasites or Bacteria than accordingly treated with suitable medication ..

If non infective diarrhea than diverticulitis, excess stress, functional bowel problem, Celiac disease like cause has to be searched for

If needed colonoscopy like investigation might done for further work up

According to cause further specific treatment given

Meanwhile maintain hydration with lots of water

Consult physician for examination first
