There can be various reasons for the severe discomfort after eating sandwich during lunch time such as:
- Acute gastritis
- Gastric ulcer
- GERD
- Food induced allergy
- Others
Guidelines for better recovery:
- Consume more liquids at times
- Chew your food thoroughly
- Prefer easily digestible food stuffs such as rice, curd, mung (sprouted), organic fresh fruits
- Avoid spices, non veg, junk foods, dairy items till possible
- Avoid
smoking and alcohol if consuming
- Keep stomach empty to 25% of satiety value
- Intake of
proton pump inhibitor as Nexapro or
Esomeprazole (20mg) with sips of water on empty stomach twice a day
- Avoid
stress and anxiety
- Maintain regular sound sleep of 8 hours
