What Causes Severe Discomfort In Upper Right Torso?

I am having a heavy , bruised type feeling in my upper right torso. Not lung but not superficial either. Deep breaths and straining both intensify the discomfort, cannot think of anything I have done recently to cause the feeling. Seems to be increasing as the evening wears on. Became aware of it around 4 p.m. today (Pacific time).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Mostly according to history it seems to be muscular strain....
Try to avoid heavy work out...
Avoid movement that causing pain...
Rest done...
Analgesic can be taken....
Avoid strenous activity.
Hot compress can be applied....
Try to avoid bad sleep posture...

If fever, anorexia , headache occurs perform LFT to rule out hepatic cause....
CRP also to be done....

If history of trauma over liver region then CT scan useful for detecting trauma to organs...
Take care.

Hope your concern solved....
