Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 66 year old woman with type 2 diabetes controlled by insulin and stage 3 kidney disease. I have experienced increasing incidents of feeling light headed upon standing, especially after exercise. This is accompanied by severe weakness in my legs and arms and I must sit down immediately or I ll be on the ground. Sitting for about 3 minutes is all I need to recover. I check blood pressure daily and it is within normal range. This limb weakness is like my legs have turned into spaghetti. It is scary.

What Causes Severe Dizziness In A Diabetic?
Hello, As per your history, it may be due to hypoglycemia. To avoid dizziness, you should do regular blood sugar monitoring at least three times a day. Do regular blood pressure monitoring. Take balanced diet. In case of decreased appetite, you have to adjust the anti diabetic medications. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shyam B.
