General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read your message and understood your medical problem.

Your medication is:
- Norvasc 10mg 1 tab twice daily
- Terbinafine 250mg/d
- Finasteride 5mg/d
- Terazosin 1 mg
- Gabapentin 600mg twice daily

You are 67 and you have severe dizziness.

Dizziness is the most common side effect of gabapentin, finasteride, terazosin, and Norvasc. Gabapentin and terazosin cause dizziness more often so discuss with your doctor the option to substitute these drugs with other medications first. If no result than substitute the other two.

It is important for you to identify other symptoms besides dizziness. Maybe there is no problem with the medication but a neurologic problem is present or there is something wrong with your ears.

Furthermore, Norvasc is causing your blood pressure (bp) to get reduced. The same does Terazosin (which is an alpha-blocker). The overall effect of both is very very reduced bp clinically noted with symptoms of dizziness.
Discuss with your doctor about this drug interaction and see if this resolves your problems.

Hope this is helpful for you.

Thank you.
