What Causes Severe Ear Pain?

Hi. So my brother has been having bad pains in his ear. He put peroxide in his ear to see if that would help.

He does alot of swimming. And he told me today that he got a q-tip and clean hes ear and he said that lime green stuff came out of his ear.

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain severe pain in ear along with removal of greenish stuff and also if he swims regularly seems to be due to Swimmer's ear that is infection in the ear..
The greenish stuff seems to be due to pus formation secondary to infection..
Consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and he can do do an otoscopic examination of ear can help..
He can be advised a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Antibiotic and analgesic ear drops can also be advised..
Along with it keep him away from swimming as it can increase infection..
Avoid deeper picking of ear to prevent trauma to eardrum..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
