What Causes Severe Fatigue After A Partial Thyroidectomy?

Recently I have been getting very tired and in the mid 80 s I had 1/2 of my thyroid removed and was told at that time I was told that I didn t need any medication but that I might experience fatigue. I recently read an article about a drug called Actalin . What can you tell me about it? Also, what would be the best test to have to find out if my thyroid is functioning O.K. Hopefully my questions make sense. Also what is Padgett Disease ? Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible conditions like hypothyroidism. As of now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
