What Causes Severe Fatigue Along With Dizziness?

My husband was just told that he had RMSF. He was seen six weeks ago we just got the doctor to test him last week. My question is that for the last four weeks he has had severe fatigue, dizziness, spells of passing out and loss of muscle mass. I m wondering if since he was not treated for several weeks what damage has been done to his body and will the treatment reverse his symptoms?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Rocky mountain spotted fever may cause severe fever, fatigue, encephalitis, serious inflammation in the lungs and chance to get amputation. Please take rest drink plenty of liquids, avoid spicy food.
Use Doxycycline twice a day for one week.
If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
