Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
since the beginning of the year I have been on a get healthy journey and have lost 19 pounds. I have been eating healthy and exercising! However, I have been extremely exhausted and unable to sleep and have been dealing with dizziness. I can function during the day/night but I do not like feeling dizzy and completely exhausted all of the time. I am currently without health insurance due to my divorce and wondering what I can do?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The cause for your dizziness and severe fatigue could be due to iron and protein deficiency. Kindly take protein rich diet like egg and milk regularly. You can also supplement protein by drinking medicated protein powder mixed with milk twice daily. Also take iron supplements in the form of capsules or syrup regularly. Incude in your diet iron rich foods such as dark green leafy vegetables. Gradually ,you should be able to overcome the symptoms and be back to normal. Hope the above information helps. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
