What Causes Severe Fatigue And Drowsiness Despite Getting Adequate Sleep?

Hi, I have no energy, and am drowsy after having plenty of sleep. I have had weight gain of 50 pounds in the last 4 years. I am not depressed.... my energy level drops quickly..I was on thyroid medication dose of 75 and a couple years ago went in for regular check up test, and a different doctor said I didn t need to be on the thyroid medicine and took me off the medicine, but I just realized these are the same symptoms I was having when they first put me on thyroid medicine. I am retired but I have been in the field of construction and am very physically active, but I have to fight the fatigued.

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Your symptoms are suggestive of hypothyroidism (decreased thyroid hormone ) levels. Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider to get TSH, T3 and T4 levels done, and to supplement thyroid hormone if needed.
