What Causes Severe Fatigue And Excessive Sleepiness?

My husband is 66 and still works part-time in the family business. He complains of being tired, wants to sleep all the time when he isn t at work, complains of being cold and when he does go to bed is awake off and on. He also complains of weakness which he thinks is just part of aging but I am surprised at how quickly he tires when he is doing even light physical work. What might cause this?

I think that the symtoms are related to hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid.
I suggest you to do a blood analysis and to check thyroid hormone levels.
