Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am 66 yrs. old, female, diabetic 2. My blood surgery this morning was 152. I have been feeling very fatigued, to the point I have to lay down and rest. I start my housework and after a while, I feel very tired. I m thinking it could be so many thing, trying not to scare myself.
As per your query about having severe fatigue in morning with blood sugar 152 shows its due to hyperglycemia (however you have not mentioned it was fasting or post prandial) and if you are regularly taking your medications.
Along with the dietary sugar control you should consult the physician immediately for controlling the glucose levels and for dosage adjustments or changing the drugs if necessary. I would suggest that diabetes is totally controllable if you follow a strict dietary regimen and exercises. Always try to control the blood sugar level from raising high as at this age complications arises very soon like neuropathy, and retinopathy.
I hope the information helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Jyoti Pandey
