What Causes Severe Fatigue While On Synthroid?

Good afternoon, I just recently had midodrine prescribed by my endocrinologist. I have always had low blood pressure. Normal bp for me is about 100/65. I am also taking Synthroid for hypothyroidism. In the past few months I have been extremely fatigued, exceptionally tired and lethargic. I work full time teaching, but, once home can barely function. My doctor increased my Synthroid to 112 mcg, and added the midodrine. I already am feeling the chills and goosebumps . It has only been 2 days since beginning this medication. Should I be contacting my doctor? I appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

Hi,

It takes a while to adjust and find out the perfect dose for hypothyroid patients. Maybe this dose is too high for you so you should consult your endocrinologist and maybe he will adjust it again.
