What Causes Severe Flushing Sensation In The Neck After A Total Hysterectomy?

Yes, I am female 58YO, have had a total hysterectomy and don't have any symptoms of menopause. Two days ago, I had an extreme flush of heat from my neck up to the top of my head. I felt my face must look like a tomato - it was slightly reddish. Also felt my head was growing larger. My lips were tingling and I felt generally unwell. It passed after 15-20 mins., and after I had drank a ginger ale (I had spent the weekend nauseous and vomiting, and was nauseous that morning) and app. 20 oz. of water.

Hello,

The symptoms you have described is quite common after hysterectomy and after menopause. It is due to hormonal changes. You can go for hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) for symptomatic relief.
