A thorough neuromuscular assessment is advised.
Also, as per your symptoms the pain can be due to the
increased uric acid levels in blood, which can be measured by undergoing a simple urine test. If the uric acid levels found more - then medical management can control it. Post that performing
physical therapy for the same will help to avoid future recurrence.
If the test is negative than, you may need an
MRI of
lumbar spine. As due to a mild compression of the
nerve in the lumbar spine there is a pain in the great toe.
Well, for this, medical management can take care of it and post which you may have to undergo a proper physical therapy to strengthen the muscular system so the lumbar spine injuries and pathology will be under control.
