General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
MiraLax is composed of 'polyethylene glycol', which is a laxative solution that increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements.

It is used as a laxative to treat occasional constipation or irregular bowel movements.

Common side effects with its use include: Abdominal cramps, gas, frequent bowel movements, nausea, stomach pain or bloating.

You need to seek medical attention promptly if these side effects persist or become bothersome.

Hope the information provided would be helpful.

All the best.

Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
