I am a high blood pressure patient , normally takes Zaart 50 a day.Recently I had a bad phlemy cough with infection running to cheat ... and i was treated with series of antibiotics , steroids( Hexilon ) and 2 inhalers ( One with steroids and other without steroid). When this cough condition was getting better I started my normal menstruation and I was having heavy bleeding for 15 days ( Normally I have bleeding only for 3 days). When i consulted a gynecologist , he gave me primoult N for 10 days .. and iron complex drug. . I stopped bleeding with first dose of primoult N. After a scan... I was told my endometrial lining was thicker , my doctor asked me to continue primoult N for another 10 days... I didnt have much difficulties earlier ... but after 10 days , I feel my gastritis condition has worsen.. and at time feel dizzy and faintish at times. Should I continue this medication?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe gastritis along with dizziness while on Primolut N . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like food poisoning , food allergy , infection of digestive system , gas , stomach flu or colic . Dizziness can also occur due to ear infection consult ENT specialist for it or due to side effects of medicine like primolut , If condition doesn't get better then consult doctor who prescribed this drug and discuss with him/her . You should take oral rehydration solution as well. I would suggest you to sips of water or other clear fluids on a very frequent basis. You should avoid solid foods for a few hours try small amounts of mild foods such as rice, applesauce and do not take foods or drinks caffeine , carbonated beverages , citrus and dairy products. If condition doesn't get better then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination and get complete examination done. Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics ,analgesic and antacid .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
