What Causes Severe Groin Pain?

I am having groin pain. My dr sent me for ultra sound checking for blood clot but I didn t have one. When I bear weight on left leg that is when the pain is severe. What could it be? I had xrays of hip and ankle. They showed arthritis, but the pain is getting worse. Do you have suggestions? I am 76 years old but active. My email is YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to muscular pain.

I suggest using muscle relaxants such as Baclofen to relieve the pain.

If the symptoms continue you should do an ultrasound for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
