Good Afternoon Doctor! I am Arjun, I am at the age of 31, and I found, everyday I am loosing a bunch of hair, not able to control to stop it and now it become more and now its like my scalp is slightly visible, so I am scaring that I will loose the entire hair shortly. and I would like to know, is there any way that it will regrow ? Thanks Arjun.
Common causes of hair fall include androgenic androgenic alopecia, fungal infection, nutritional deficiency, alopecia areata, and cancer chemo/radiotherapy. Treatment depends upon the cause, but the most common cause in young male is androgenic alopecia and unfortunately no reliable treatment medicine is available. Minoxidil promotes hair growth in some but you need to apply it for long time to see effect. Other mentioned causes are treatable but need correct diagnosis and treatment by specialist. Advice 1. Tugain (minoxidil) gel 5% – 1 mL twice daily for 4 months 2. Tablet PROHAIR 1 mg daily per oral for 4 months 3. Capsule Revital – one capsule daily for 2 months 4. High protein and vitamin rich diet such as eggs, meat, vegetables, cheese etc. 5. Do not take much tension as anxiety/depression aggravates hair loss 6. Hair transplantation/hair wig is also an option for you Thanks
