What Causes Severe Hair Loss And Itchy Scalp With White Balls?

Hi Doctor, i have experienced heavy hair fall in the month of april to July. now the hairfall is under the control, but i have lost most of my hairs on my head. my hair has become very thin on crowns and i am a female 24 F. and now a days i have noticced when i scratch my head whit balls are coming out. i went to a dermatologoist and suggested me to use monodoxil i have used it for one month , currently am not using anything and i have used iron and multivitamin tables for one month. Could you please suggest me why i have suffered from hair loss and with what type of hairloss am suffering.

Hi and welcome.
You should check your thyroid levels first to see is there a hormonal imbalance. Second it may be genetically determined and in this case monoxidil may have effect but its results are very limited. Wish you good health. Regards
