I am 24yr old, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 1 year back with TSH level 6.32. Since my condition was not improving and health problems were adding up everyday, On further diagnosis (Anti TPO 1300) I came to know about Hashimoto s. It was a shock as its not heredity. Following are my Symptoms: 1. Excessive Hair Fall 2. Weight Gain (Very Difficult to loose weight even after exercise) 3. Black Out (Fatigue, Low BP & Energy tripping). 4. Mood Swings, Depression. After Lot of research I am now following a good healthy diet, balance of all nutrients. Supplements of Selenium, Biotin and Ashwagandha tablets. and Daily Evening Walk for 35 Min (Minimum). All these conditions have improved in last 2 months (after controlling diet and taking nutrient supplements) only hair fall and weight is still prevalent. Presently in my last test TSH 1.26 I am on a 62.5mcg Abott Thyronorm. My question to you is, am i suppose to quit gluten? (I have found in lot of researches about Gluten sensitivity with Hashimoto s) My Doctor has told me not to. (He is not very much helping & counseling as at this young age I don t want to be weak in any way. I want to be completely healthy again. Please Guide.
