What Causes Severe Hair Loss Post Hysterectomy?

Hi, I am 41, have had a hysterectomy but not on HRt. I take calcium tablets. I am on topiromate for my cluster headaches and sertraline for depression. I seem to be loosing lots of hair, be excessively tired and am having mood swings, do I need some more vitamins/supplements? Thank you

Understand your concern
Your problem is due to hormonal imbalance dye to hysterectomy that produce surgical menopause: estrogen and progesterone deficiency.

Following are causes of hair loss:
telogen effluvium: Due to stress and hormonal imbalance, hair goes form growing phase in to the resting phase lead to hair loss, Sudden menopause, scalp infections, nutritional deficiency,
It may be side effects of topiramate that cause thinning of hair.

You should consult the doctor and do hormone profile for exact diagnosis:

Advice:
Start hormone replacement therapy
Healthy diet with vitamin (B6, B7), iron, zinc supplements
Eat lots of green vegetables
