What Causes Severe Hair Loss While On Levothyroxine?
Hello, I have been on Levothyroxin for several years. I was losing my hair and asked about using a different med and they prescribed one made from animal. It did not help. In an effort to find out what exactly is happening with my thyroid what test panel do I request for a thorough testing. I feel it is affecting my Type II diabetes to but don t know exactly what to ask for in tests. Is there a site on web that I can look up level norms and changes for thyroid and how it affects diabetes? Thank you

It is not related to Levothyroxine. If hairless persist, better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. As of now, you can take zinc containing multivitamins for symptomatic relief.
