General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The severe hand tremors in adult life with childhood history of meningitis is indicative of residual foci of seizure activity or chronically damaged brain structures.

The extent of previous insult can be best evaluated with the recent MRI report of the brain for best guidance.

So far as pregnancy is concerned, there is no threat of her to conceive with problems, but if she is taking anti convulsion medications as phenytoin or others, her OBGY has to be informed priorly as many of the drugs are teratogenic and have to be adjusted to safer molecules so far as neonate safety is concerned.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
