What Causes Severe Headache After A Dental Procedure?

Ive had horrible headache ever since I had my teeth fill at the dentist, one side of my mouth is fine and the other was sore and tender.I revisited him and he said the filling was too high on one side so he drilled it down. That didn't do anything, I went back another time he filled it down some more and it seemed to have helped, but now it feels like food is getting stuck in one tooth and it hurts to chew still on that side when that happens. And I constantly deal with horrible headaches that last for hours upon hours.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Headache after getting tooth filled can be most probably due to placement of the filling directly over the nerve leading to inflammation of the nerve that is causing pain and pain is radiating to the head..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and an x ray of the tooth has to be done to rule out the cause..

In case if filling is over the nerve then Root Canal Treatment has to be done for permanent resolution..

As of now take painkillers like Ketorolac to relieve pain..

Hope your query is resolved..

Regards..
