What Causes Severe Headache And Nausea Post Injury?

My 14 year old daughter was hit in the face mask 4 days ago by a foul ball while she was batting. She never lost consciousness or anything but had a bad headache and her eyes were sensitive to light. Today she still has a headache but also is feeling nauseated. She has not been seen by a dr. I know it can take a while to heal but since she is having other symptoms I am wondering if she needs to be checked out. Thanks

The symptoms seem to be related to the head injury. The headache and sensitivities to light might indicate a brain damage. I suggest to go at the emergency room as soon as possible for evaluation.
