What Causes Severe Headache And Neck Pain Post Colonoscopy?

Hi, my husband had a colonoscopy today and now has a severe headache with neck pain? Should we be concerned out this. He was given a different, short acting sedative for the first time. Could he be having an allergic reaction to the sedative. His bp is good. Thank you

I have understand your concern

colonoscopy nothing to do with headache and neck pain

here thwo possibilities
1. neck pain radiating to head with muscle stiffness
2.sedation induced headache

headache secondary to sedation will come down and it is not an allergic reaction

headache due to neckpain should be evaluated to ruleout any spondylosis

I can suggest you to get done x ray cervical spine AP and Lateral view

take tab.dolo650 thrice a day for 2 days , it ll control headache and neckpain also.
