What Causes Severe Headache And Pain Behind The Left Eye?

My husband has a really bad headache. It’s bad enough he went to lat down. He said the pain is behind his left eye. Last night he was complaining that his left eye kept watering. Is this something we should have checked out? He is not on any medication and is very healthy.

Hello welcome to the health care magic

Check his blood pressure to rule out hypertension.

If he has upper respiratory tract infection or otitis like ear infection than also referred headache can occur.

Check refractive error problem for headache.

Smoking, lack of sleep, hypoglycemia, overwork etc can be causative factor

If pain unilateral and throbbed than migraine should be ruled out.

Hope your concern solved

Take care
