What Causes Severe Headache And Soreness In The Hips?

Hi, my son went to ER this morning. He had a very bad headache and hip soreness on Sunday. Woke up with severe wrist pain on Monday (no injury to wrist), same wrist was slightly bruised and barely movable on Tues. Today severe neck pain as well as all over body pain. Everything checked out at ER for signs of infection or flu. Any ideas what this could be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Fleeting arthritis is a rheumatological problem. You will need to meet a rheumatologist. The condition causing the symptoms can be variable- ranging from rheumatoid arthritis to seronegative arthritis. You will need to be tested for rheumatological conditions. The treatment will vary as per the diagnosis made. You may meet your GP for a prescription for indomethacin for pain relief while you await your appointment with a rheumatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
