What Causes Severe Headache, Fever And High Blood Sugar Level?

My 40 yr old husband has had a severe headache for 6 days . Went to ER , temp 100.6 no other symptoms , was dehydrated , did blood work , ct scan , only other thing blood sugar was 461 , tried to do spinal tap and couldn t get needle in after several attempts , if he had meningitis wouldn t he have other ymptoms ?

Hello,

If he had meningitis, he would have nausea, vomiting, inability to support yourself due to light muscular rigidity. He should normalize the glucose levels and probably he needs insulin.
