What Causes Severe Headache In The Forehead?

I am having frequent forehead right side headaches. I had constipation. I use Isabgol and I feel it is OK now. I take Pantodac 40 once daily early morning. I have migraine and due to that I take Betacap TR 40 daily at night. The amazing part is my headache doesn t get cured after having taken paracetamol tablets!! It only gets cured when I go to sleep every night after taking Alzolam. What may be the cause? I do have polycystic Kidneys and due to that I cannot take any high dose pain killers. Pls advise.

Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully read your question and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to tension type headache, which is a chronic type of headache, usually associated to migraine.

The fact the paracetamol tablets are not helpful is a little concerning, taking into consideration the fact that you suffer from polycystic ovary.

I would recommend performing a brain MRI study coupled with angio MRI to exclude possible intracranial aneurysms, which could lead to migraine type headache. You should know the polycystic ovary imposes a higher risk for intracranial aneurysms.

Besides, I would recommend you to monitor your blood pressure. The fact that you take Betacap before sleep, may be the reason that your headache improves during the night. A high blood pressure during the day could be the cause of persistent headache.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
