What Causes Severe Headache, Loss Of Appetite And Blurred Vision While Treating MS?
I am 52 have secondary progressive MS (diagnosed 5 years ago) and have been without a known flare up for almost a year. Taking Aubagio. I know it s a tough question to respond to without all the history of my situation. But it s a general possible flare up (which could last for 24-48 hours) or perhaps an indication of something more serious to go to ER? Here s the question. Within the last few days I have developed ongoing severe headaches, loss of appetite, memory worsening and today blurred vision with more than normal cognitive fog . Again, it might be too complicated due to the MS but rather ask than call Neuroiogist that is on call or rush to ER unnecessarily especially when I m feeling like this. Thanks!
Hello, The symptoms are consistent with common causes like migraine or tension headache, as a first line management you can try analgesics like aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, bettet to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intra cranial (inside the brain) causes. Wishing all the best. Thanks
