What Causes Severe Headache While On Pantoprazole?

Been give prescription of Pantoprazole SOD DR 40 mg. for inflamed intestine which was diagnosed from Endoscopy. Took my second pill last night and have severe headache and feel lathogic all day. Will not take it again tonight. Doctor on call suggested I take Zantac until I reach doctor on Monday. The only thing this drug did do was lesson the pain in my stomach. Will Zantac help get me through the weekend. Tried Prilosac a couple of years ago, it helped but gave me diarrhea .

Hello,

It is very less likely that the headache is related to Pantoprazole. If your doctor has suggested Zantac instead of that then continue with it. Do not take any other medication without consulting your doctor as he is well aware of your situation so following his advice is the best thing to do currently.
