What Causes Severe Headache While On Flu Treatment?

hi I have been having fever for more the a week. I was diagnose with the flu but that has been more then a week. I get sever head ace once I start having fever I start to get cold once the fever starts. I have gone to the dr. and they just tell me that my body has to fight the virus. But its been a long time and its starting to worry me. I don t if it could be something else besides the virus. I just thought about meningitis can that be possible?

Your symptom is suggestive of viral influenza infection of upper respiratory tract most probably. In meningitis usually high grade fever, vomiting like presentation and neck rigidity present on examination. Meningitis seems less likely in your case. You can get evaluated further with CBC, ASO titre, throat swab for culture etc. If needed antibiotic can be started. I suggest you to consult physician for examination.
