Hi,

Headaches that last this length of time may be due to (1) migraines (2) tension headaches (3) moderate to severe sinus disease. The CT scan would have ruled out a structural cause that is mass in the brain or a bleed. You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.

If it is sinus disease there would be other symptoms such as nasal congestion, postnasal drip, sneezing. Antihistamines, decongestants along with pain medication such as ibuprofen/naproxen/voltaren, can be used. If it is migraines or tension headaches then these medications can be tried initially. Stronger meds such as opioids can be given if needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
