What Causes Severe Headaches After Receiving Botox Injections?

my daughter has botox injections for torticollis (?spelling) in her neck where the muscle pulls very hard and turns her head onto her shoulder. Botox greatly helps this. However, she has been having severe headaches for the past 6 weeks and I wonder if botox is in any way associated with these headaches.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as first-line management, you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

It is unlikely to be due to Botox.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
