What Causes Severe Headaches Along With Hot Flushes And Watery Eyes?

I started getting sick on Saturday but I had a competition and still put all of my energy into it and I was awake for about 14 hours. I thought it may have been allergies but its been 4 days going onto 5 and it hasn t not gotten better. I face is hot although I have no fever and I have a cough sometimes mucus sometimes none, my head is pounding but its not a headache, my eyes are watering, I have a lot of physical exhaustion. Along with a stuffy and sometimes runny nose, and sneezing. I have no idea what to do. I sleep for hours upon not meaning to. I have tried everything and what do I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely a viral infection which can last one to two weeks.

The use of over the counter cough and cold medications would help to decrease some of the symptoms temporarily. Most of these contain a decongestant along with an antihistamine.

A topical decongestant for a few days would also be helpful eg otrivine .

Rest and fluids are also important.

I hope this helps
