What Causes Severe Headaches Along With Palpitations?

I WENT TO THE ER FOR PALPITATIONS AND SEVERE HEADACHE. MY VITAL SIGNS WERE NORMAL AND THE DOCTOR SAID I WAS HAVING PVC S DURING THE EKG. HE WASN T CONCERNED... BUT FOR THE PAST 2 NIGHTS I HAVE HAD A SEVERE (FEELS LIKE SOMEONE HAS PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE) HEADACHE ACCOMPANIED BY PRETTY AGGRESSIVE PALPITATIONS... I DON T KNOW WHETHER TO BE CONCERNED OR NOT SINCE THE DOCTOR SAID HE WASN T CONCERNED.

Hello!

Welcome on HCM and thank you for asking!

I read carefully your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to inflammation.

Do you have fever?

What are your blood pressure values?

I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, inflammation tests, thyroid hormone levels) and a sinus X ray study to exclude possible sinus infection.

I would also recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure, to rule out possible high blood pressure, which could cause this clinical scenario.

Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
