What Causes Severe Heart Burn Followed By Vomiting In An Elderly Person?

Hi ,my elderly mother who is 79 years of age is for the last couple of nights has heartburn and soon after vomits ,its been happening for the last 3/4 nights now and I m noticing her liquid vomit is brown ,she ate a chocolate biscuit earlier on this evening ,could it be the biscuit or some thing else ,she sometimes suffer from constipation ,but not every day and when she does I give her movical ,so what is the cause of her vomiting doctor ,regards antoinette

severe heartburn and vomiting can be due to gastritis or gastric ulcers...brown vomits daily made me think of ulcer...


I would advice you to take antacids on empty stomach...
Avoid eating spicy or oily foods...
Avoid tea or coffee..

also i would like you to get an USG done
