What Causes Severe Heartburn And Chest Pain?

My husband has these heartburn episodes a couple times a month where he ll get a pain in his chest, he says it s heartburn, for between 2-10 min. He says it feels like there is a piece of food stuck in chest area. His jaw tightens up and is sore for 15-20 min. He has lost a lot of weight in the past 8 months, but he says thats from taking his cocktail intake each week so far down. Heart disease is prevalent in the family, & I have made an appointment, but it s still 3 weeks out. Am I just being a worried wife? After about 20 min everything is fine!

it can be hyper acidity and acute gastritis. how ever have ECG to rule out cardiac involvement antacid like omiprazol. avoid fast food and deep fried items. take bland diet and take fresh vegetable and fruits refrain from taking alcohol and smoking avoid hot tea and coffee.
