My abdomen has been very itchy for a few days. It is significantly worse around the bottom of my bra. (back and front) My thoughts included shingles, but I am not experiencing much pain and I have a slight rash, not a blistering one. Could this still be shingles? if so should I be working in an elementary school with these symptoms?
I dont think this is shingles as there is no burning sensation or blisters noticed by you. Moreover itching beneath the bottom of the bra points more in favour of intertrigo which is inflammation of body folds or eczema. You can continue going to school and try applying beclomethasone clotrimazole combination cream along with antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine. If this doesnot help you in 2 weeks time then do consult the doctor and get yourself evaluated.
