What Causes Severe Itchiness In The Vagina After Intercourse?

I had sex with a new partner on the 14&15, which the condom broke on the 15. On the 16 I noticed I had a mild itch which intensified throughout the day. I ve had yeast infections in the past so I figured since I was having similar complications, that I would buy a monistat 3. The symptoms went away but I wanted to know if it was something worse like herpes or another std would the monistat have worked?

I really appreciate your concern, it may be infection or allergic condition or it may be infection in either of these condition Povidone Iodine suppository can be used, it is better to take care of better hygiene else it is nothing to better hope this information helps.
