What Causes Severe Itchiness On The Wrist?

I had an itch on the inside of my wrist - when I scratched it, a bruise formed and pain, only for a short while. within a few minutes the pain subsided and the bruise remained, then it went away within a day. I had this one time before in the same area. I did lift some heavy bowls out of a lower cupboard, don t know if that caused it, also thought it was an insect bite - but in the same area of my wrist?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an insect bite. I suggest you use a steroid cream for local application. I also recommend using antihistamine daily and cool compresses for relief.
