General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The best way to determine what causes her allergic reaction would be allergy tests. These can be in the form of a blood test or skin prick testing. Skin prick testing would need to be done by a dermatologist or allergist. The blood test can be taken by your GP or pediatrician and sent to the lab. If this cannot be done, then you would need to do a very comprehensive food diary for at least 2 weeks. Every thing she eats and drinks and any reactions would need to be documented.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
