What Causes Severe Itching All Over The Body In A Diabetic?

Hi Doctor, My mother is a diabetic. She get her blood tested and report was as follows: HB 9.9 Polymorph 70 Lymphocytes 18 Eosinophills 10 monocytes 02 Basophils 00 E.S.R(Wintrobe) 42 Total Eosinophill count 970 She is having severe itching all over her body. Please advice what can be done?

The lab reports suggest an allergic state, which could cause the itching. However, pl note that itching could be the early symptom of Jaundice, assos with drugs(even old drugs),body oils and cosmetics, worms in the gi tract.Thus successful treatment would have to cover a wide spectrum, do not delay it.
