What Causes Severe Itching During The 8th Month Of Pregnancy?
Hi Sir/Madam, My wife is carrying from 8 months. From 7th month she is getting itching upon test we came to know her LFT results were high. The itching still continuing and sometimes not resistable during night time. As per Gynic it s normal and happens for 1 out of 100 women, there is know specific medicine until pregnancy is over. Request to please advise on this and if any medicine can help to reduce itching without any side effect to pregnancy. Thanks and regards, Neel
I think the itching without skin lesions may come as a result of expanding skin from the pregnancy. She needs to do urine analysis to check for albumin in urine which may cause excessive swelling and normally itching. She may only use moisturising ointments to help with itching. Antihistamines are not advisable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
