General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the itching without skin lesions may come as a result of expanding skin from the pregnancy.
She needs to do urine analysis to check for albumin in urine which may cause excessive swelling and normally itching.
She may only use moisturising ointments to help with itching. Antihistamines are not advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
