What Causes Severe Itching In Arms And Chest?

My skin suddenly began itching out of nowhere and the itching is almost unbearable. However, if I itch them, the area sort of darkens and/or reddens and a scab forms. It looks horrid and I have no idea what it is and is mostly on my chest, arms and back. It can t be a bug bite because the home has been checked for them. It s persisted for two weeks now, and it s becoming more frequent, and creams do not help it. What could it possibly be?

Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergic reaction to some thing you exposed. But other conditions like scabies should be ruled out. It is better to have a consultation with a dermatologist for this. If it is allergic reaction and you were my patient then i would recommend antihistamines like levocetirizine and calamine lotion for local application. If severe itching and swelling is there then i would advise a shot of hydrocortisone also.
