What Causes Severe Itching In Palms And Ankles?

Hi At night my palms and ankles get really badly itchy It was so bad it woke me up I had some piriton to see if it helped and I was able to fall asleep. I have an ok diet and I m not over nor under weight What do you think it could be I ve also broke out into a rash a couple of times.

Severely itchy rash of the hands suggests the possibility of eczema. You need to keep your skin moisturized by applying emolients regularly.You may consult a dermatologist and inquire it's severity and if needed he may prescribe a topical steroid cream like mometasone.Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used to reduce itching.
