What Causes Severe Itching In The Body?

I have recently developed severe itching. My doctor wondered about a milk allergy. I went to theallergist who didn t think it was milk so didn t test. But several times I ve had a strong reaction to itching/products I was unaware of containing milk until I later checked the label. I am diabetic but under control @ A1c 6.8 taking Metphormin 750mg. once a day.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You should consider allergy testing, this can be in the form of blood tests or skin prick testing.

The skin prick testing would require a dermatologist/allergist but the blood test can be requested by your doctor.
Your doctor can have a blood test done checking for allergies to milk or other products.
Liver function test, kidney function, thyroid and complete blood count ,would also be needed as well

This would help to determine the source of itching.

I hope this helps
