What Causes Severe Itching In The Breasts?

After being diagnosed with oesophagul cancer I started taking a low does of CBD. All well apart from bad dreams until I had a CT scan to which I reacted badly - swelling and intense itching. My Gp put me on antihistamines. I continued with CBD but wasn t getting any better so stopped after a week and noted a big improvement. However, last night I started CBD again and had a sleepless night of intense itching especially in my breasts. I ve never had an allergy before, I seldom take any sort of medication preferring natural remedies. I truly believe CBD (I intended to go onto Rick Simpson oil) will cure my cancer but can t bear the itching. Thanks you, Carole

Hi,

Most causes of pain in breast are benign and not serious. There are a number of harmless causes for breast pain and tenderness that may primarily be related to changes in hormone levels. These can include:Menstruation and premenstrual syndrome (PMS), Mastitis, Menopause and Fibrocystic Breast Tissue which is most common. Fibrocystic breasts are not necessarily linked to cancer, and the lumps are fluid filled cysts rather than a mass of cells. However, it is advisable to do breast ultrasound and mammography just to be sure and start regular follow up of possible cysts. In case of redness, fever and progressive pain this may indicate abscess and then it should be surgically drained or evacuated by needle under control of ultrasound.
